With the aim of maintaining the contact to its former employees, Vectia arranged its first Alumni evening ever on Thursday, April 7, 2011. Over 20 Vectia alumni participated in the event. The evening was kicked off with a glass of bubbly and some snacks after which Vectia’s Managing Partner Tom Lindholm briefly shared an update on Vectia’s current offering as well as on the latest news regarding Vectia’s new multi-client study McC€al: Co-creation and New €arnings Logics – Driving growth and performance with business model innovation.

The evening continued with Partner Suvi Nenonen’s presentation on the content and motivation of her book Market design, which brought her and Professor Kaj Storbacka the prize for the best Finnish business book last year. All interested alumni could take the book home – topped with the author’s signature, of course.

For most alumni, the best part of the evening was meeting former colleagues, catching up on recent news and laughing at old memories. The pleasant evening continued at Vectia’s legendary Kalle Night Fever at Kaarle XII where a handful of Alumni continued for a drink or two…

All alumni were interested in joining the event again next year. Several participants were especially interested in hearing more about the companies and work of the other alumni and how they apply the customer relationship thinking learned at Vectia to their current work. We will definitely keep this input in mind when planning the second Alumni evening! And I guess the chart below reflects the overall feelings from this very first Alumni Event.
